Crawfish For Cancer

I always love getting e-mails from readers. I guess it makes me feel like people (other than my immediate family) are reading my blog. Well, at least stumbling upon it from time to time.

The other day, I received an e-mail from a reader in the city who asked if I'd post information about an upcoming event, Crawfish for Cancer, at the Boat Basin. If you don't know, the Boat Basin is a fun UWS outdoor restaurant on the Hudson. We've been many a times and with the weather getting warmer (slowly but surely), I'm sure we'll be heading that way soon.

Crawfish for Cancer is an event started by Williams alumns who moved to the city after college (my old roommate and The Husband's Grandpa Jim are also alumns so I wanted to pass along). For those interested in attending, the crawfish boil will take place this Saturday from 2-7 p.m. @ the Boat Basin and aims to raise funds for research for multiple myeloma cancer. Tickets can be purchased here, which includes food, drinks and live entertainment from an 8 piece New Orleans brass band as well as a good ol' rock n' roll band. Sounds like a good time for a good cause. If y'all are around this weekend then check it out!
