She's a Rich Girl...

It's no secret that I'm a huge Hall & Oates fan. I've been to four concerts at Beacon Theater, have most of their songs on my iPod and even bought a signed album a few years ago on Ebay. I know they were most popular in the 70's, a time when I was just a twinkle in God's eye, but to me they are one of the best bands ever. There I said it. Ever. And, who couldn't resist their good looks? Okay, maybe they should just stick to singing. When I got home from work today, The Husband had DVRed the Ellen DeGeneres Show for me because of the musical guest...the Bird and the Bee. This band from LA created a tribute album to no other than (yup, you guessed it) Daryl Hall and John Oates. Needless to say, I was so excited to hear it. While they aren't the original pop duo, they do add their own special touch to the classic songs that I love so much. Have a listen:

UPDATE: After seeing this post, my lovely friend Elizabeth sent me a great YouTube clip (thanks, liz!) of an awesome recording session at Daryl's house. He gives some background on how he came up with the sounds of "No Can Do" and sings a cool version of the song. If you're a fan, and even if you aren't, you will like this clip:
