Maine

How did it get to be October? I'm still trying to figure that out because I swear it was just June.

Last week, the family traveled up to Maine for an early 60th birthday celebration for my Dad. We stayed in Booth Bay Harbor at a small resort called Spruce Point Inn. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind and watch the sailboats go by. My dad is a sailor man and for him, this was the perfect present. I'm glad we got to partake too!

The first day we sailed around the harbor on a sunset cruise (though I don't have photos of this oops!). The next day we got up early and took another boat out two hours to Monhegan Island, a small artist community. It was beautiful, even with the rain and storm that we experienced, the lightening was ideal for photo taking. Therefore, I'll let the pictures do the talking...

Later that evening, we sat by the water at the Inn and watched the sailboats go by. I could have sat here for hours...

This makes me laugh. Typical mom on Facebook

Thanks for an amazing trip, parents! Back, next year?
