Moving Day

It's finally here - the big moving day. The Husband and Southern in the City packed all night and even early this morning, throwing the last bit of our treasures into any size box we could find. We're done. My closet is empty and the movers are packing-up and shipping-out as I type this very post.

However, let me ask you. How, in only one year, do you accumulate so much "stuff"? Oh, yes. We got married. I forgot.

"What purpose does that serve?" said The Husband to the curtains hanging in the window. "Can't we just throw them out and not have curtains in the new place?" (yeah right!) "They make the room. They are pretty and they make me happy!" I stated, er, declared. End of story.

But, to show The Husband that I wasn't the crazy lady on the show, "Hoarders" I did in fact manage to throw out old shoes, bags and thing-a-my-jigs. Despite my "you never know when you'll need this one-day" mantra, I think I did a pretty good job.

So here's a few shots of our "stuff" before I left for work this morning...more to follow in the new place.

  1. I remember our first move after we got married. The moving van turned over, but none of our wedding gifts were broken! Good luck! and I can't wait to see pictures of your new home.
